Better Shopping Carts Means Better Shopping

November 13th, 2008 · No Comments

by Kirt Christensen

I am a stay at home mom of two small boys. Like a lot of stay-at-home moms, I am limited to what stores are \”accessable to me\” by a number of things. Things like the width of store aisles, the ease of parking, helpfulness of employees, and the size and maneuverability of the available shopping carts are all a factor in where I can and can’t go.

In a majority of American households, the women do the necessary shopping for the house. Whether this is fair or not is irrelevantit is a fact. Frequently, women are required to bring their children along to do the necessary shopping. Things which I mentioned above play a larger role to consumers than one might thing. For example, I have an appointment at a nearby beauty supply store later this morning, and I am already dreading it. The aisles are narrow and cramped, and there are not shopping carts available. The amount of time I spend inside the store is going to be minimal, at best.

I believe this is true for a majority of women in my position. If it is difficult to shop the store because the ease of maneuverability, a good number of consumers are going to avoid the store or business as much as possible, and when they do enter the store, it will be for as little time as possible. This means less money is spent, and they are less likely to purchase \”impulse buys\”. They will be in and out of the store on a mission to get the few items they need and then get out before there is a public meltdown (either by mom or children!).

Of the various factors, maybe the most important one is the shopping cart. For me to shop at a store and possibly linger versus simply getting the specific items I seek, the shopping cart needs to be wide enough to securely place a car seat or infant carrier inside without the feeling of the possibility that the cart may topple over.

Every business should provide carts to fit the type of store and the products for which they sell. The carts should be light and sturdy, avoiding large heavy and bulky ones. Their size should be limited to the size of the aisles yet be large enough to accomodate the items sold. Not having the proper size cart for the size of the store and aisles makes shopping difficult and frustrating.

On several occassions, I have simply left a store due to frustration created by shopping carts being the wrong size for the shop I was in, or the wheels not working correctly or even aisles to cluttered for me the navigate through them to get to the items which I am most interested. I seem to avoid these stores in the future due to these bad experiences.

I understand that there is a fine line between having shopping carts the appropiate size in comparison to the needed aisle width to accomodate the type of products a store may carry. But I need a cart which is large enough for a five year old to sit in the basket along with whatever items I am purchasing. A good balance is needed for a store to provide a convenient place to shop.

Some may think it’s silly to put so much emphasis on where to shop based on their shopping carts, but it’s the truth. These factors all weigh in on which stores I will visit. There is a particular retailer I had to avoid until my son could sit up on his own since finding out that their carts would not allow me to safely secure my infant carrier to the front. However mundane it may seem, shopping carts do have an impact of the stores clientele. For me, the best shopping cart would be lightweight, possibly made from plastic, sturdy yet free turning wheels, wide enough to safely secure an infant carrier along with the needed space inside the basket for possibly another child, yet light enough as to not feel bulky while navigating through the store. The overall size needs to be proportunate to the aisle width and the products being sold. Such thought into the shopping carts may result in shoppers spending more time inside the store, hence spending more money.

Internet Marketing Gurus, Taking Advantage Of People

November 6th, 2008 · No Comments

by Tim May

People get ripped off everyday by the internet marketing gurus. I am sure you know exactly what I am talking about. Nearly every internet marketing guru on the internet is talking about quitting your job and starting your very own online business right out of your home.

You hear these online market scams saying things like aTell your boss to take a hike and make real money!a, aHow to make your boss work for you!a or the most popular aMake money from home while doing nothing!a You then visit these web sites that they recommend only to find that they are filled with the same jargon as every other site. The page scrolls down forever, they display checks with excessive numbers on them ($79,000), and they are making outrageous claims.

They tell you about their great secrets and that they are dying to share them with you on how they make their millions. You must first purchase their DVD or ebook, which only redirects you back to the site so that you can sign up for your soon to be new life. This is where the fun starts, unfortunately not for you but for them.

It is almost like a comedy, seeing how most internet marketing gurus are ripping off people. The people are so caught up in all these pictures of cars, boats, houses, and excessive income claims that they donat even stop to think.

They buy these digital books that the site tells them to purchase in order to make a new life for themselves. The book then tells you to buy something else from company in order to reach these goals they have set. Some of these web marketing scams go as far as to have you pay a monthly fee for the web site and products. They then require you to sell so much of their product a month even if it requires you to make up the difference.

There are a few things you may notice in a guru marketing scam. One is by getting you to pay monthly they are trapping you within their system. The second is tricking you into buying multiple items so that you have a better success rate.

Unfortunately, while you are out there working your tail off, they are reaping your rewards. They know exactly what they are doing. They are getting rich off of scamming you and me. This is how they make all of their millions they are showing consumers when they see their luxury house, car or vacation. If you really think about it, they are thieves.

You can’t win this game unless you start fooling people yourself. Is this what you want to do? I don’t think so. You know deep inside that they will eventually pay the price for fooling other people somehow. They make millions off of people that are desperate and make them lose their last shirt. Do not end up as one of these people. Visit Badguruscams.com for more information.

Big Ticket To Wealth Under The Scope

October 29th, 2008 · No Comments

by David Garn

It always perks up a few ears and turns a few heads when an opportunity to earn big by just working at home comes up in conversations. That’s exactly what the buzz is about. The Big Ticket to Wealth is here, bringing with a chance to work as your own employer and at the comfort of your home. You don’t even have to work a lot with this program. All you need is an effective network of contacts and a well-maintained website.

The Big Ticket to Wealth is a company engaged in direct online selling through proprietary Flash videos that talks to viewers of high-niche markets, software products, manuals, and e-books. These videos are then distributed by its members throughout the Internet as part of its marketing campaign. That is where you, as a BTTW member, can earn your money. In order to earn money, you need to be make good use of your own personal network, as well as aggressively market your website and distribute the videos around. You earn commissions from both of these sources.

Membership in the Big Ticket to Wealth requires payment of a one-time membership fee. For the memberships, you can choose which of the three tiers of memberships to avail of. From the top, the Presidential package costs US$1,997 to buy. Next, you have the Executive package which costs US$1,197 and finally, the National package which costs US$797 to enlist in. You also have to pay for the license to distribute the products monthly, which is a fee of US$75.

How do the different packages differ in terms of earnings? Here’s how. As mentioned earlier, there is a US$75 licensing fee to distribute the Big Ticket’s products. Your earnings on direct sales are considered rebates from this fee for every recruit you bring into the program. So, Presidential Package holders can earn up to US$50 a month while Executive package members can earn up to US$25 monthly. Finally, National package owners can earn up to US$15 every month on the program. That’s for every person you recruit.

So, at closer look, the Big Ticket to Wealth is a program in which all members help each other to earn. A sponsor gets to earn from a recruit’s sale, and this fosters cooperation and teamwork between the two people in order to close a sale since both of them earn from it. You won’t find this in any other high-ticket opportunities, which even force people to forego commissions on their first few sales in favor of their sponsors.

That’s about it. In the Big Ticket to Wealth, it is easy to earn big dollars in just a few weeks for just distributing videos and maintaining a website. Marketing is never easier as a member of the BTTW program, because as a member, you are granted access to an exclusive library of helpful and informative tutorial materials, all of which are intended to guide you to a successful career in online marketing with the Big Ticket to Wealth.

What is the Princess of North Carolina State Pageant System?
that little girls should always look like little girls, and that wardrobe and make-up should always be “age appropriate”!A15. It doesn’t. The inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales is under the jurisdiction of the Coroner of The Queen’s Household. The present holder of that office is Michael Burgess who is also Coroner for Surrey. It is as Coroner for Surrey that he also has jurisdiction in the case of the late Dodi Al Fayed whose body was brought to Surrey and buried on 31 st August 1997.A15. It doesn’t.

Will the Gorons/ Zoras/Gerudos/the Shiekah species be in the Twilight Princess?
The Gorons were seen in the GDC 2005 and E3 2006 trailers, and there is official artwork of a Goron. The Zoras have not been confirmed, though EGM speculated based on an interview they would make an appearance. The Gerudo and Sheikah have not even been mentioned, although Zelda’s “robe” in the Twilight Realm has the Eye symbol with a teardrop - the Sheikah symbol from Ocarina of Time - so fans believe Sheik or the Sheikah are making a comeback. The creator’s said the title is both “obvious” and “yet creative”. Obviously, nobody knows who or what the Twilight Princess is, but it has been hinted that it is NOT Zelda.

Who died and made you Pop Culture Princess?
The nickname was coined by Lemonbugg, who once wrote a haiku calling me the Princess of Pop Culture. It stuck.

Are there any new weapons/items in the Twilight Princess?
Well. it depends. There are variations and, items making an appearance for the first time in a 3D world. First is the Clawshot. It first appeared in the E3 2006 Goron Mines dungeon demo. It is essentially a combination of the Hookshot with the Grappling Hook from TWW. Next is the Bomb Arrow. It first appeared in the E3 2005 trailer.

What inspired you to write THE PRINCESS DIARIES?
All of my books are inspired by real things that either happened to me, or that I WISHED would happen to me.A1. Yes. Under S.8 (1) of the Coroners Act 1988 (”that there is a body lying within his district and he has reason to suspect that the deceased has died a violent or unnatural death.”) the coroner is required to hold an inquest whether the death occurred in his district or not.

So what game was Princess Lana from?
While some people may tell you that she was from the game Chesterfield, the truth is that she wasn’t from any game. Some people think she may have been inspired by Palutena from Kid Icarus.Yes, and this time, you can fight with your sword as well while on the horse. This was something the creators wanted in Ocarina of Time, but couldn’t implement.

Online Lead Generation for Network Marketers: How to Do It Right

October 25th, 2008 · No Comments

by Ray Freez

There are a plethora of different methods of online lead generation for network marketers. Leads, after all, are the backbone of any network marketing business. Without a constant stream of quality, pre-qualified prospects coming to your virtual door, you’re never going to build your business. Lead generation strategies vary, and you may have to test out a few methods until you find the one(s) that work best for you. However, to get you started, here are some of the top methods of online lead generation for network marketers, as well as one particular method that you should NOT use.

One thing you might want to try is partnering with another network marketer to exchange leads, or to barter for access to the leads of the other marketer by providing that marketer with a service that’s beneficial to his business. The beauty of the internet is that you can do all of this online over email or through instant messaging, so the person you trade with can be literally anywhere in the world. You can use network marketing forums to meet other marketers with whom you want to do business.

Today on the internet there are so many people wanting your email address that you must offer your visitors something valuable for them to sign up for your newletter. One of the best ways I have seen this done is to write a short ebook or a “special report”, which can consist of 4-10 pages of information related to what the visitor came to your site for. You can even hire someone to write it for you if you have the budget to do it.

You can also partner with another network marketer to exchange leads, or to barter for access to the leads of the other marketer by providing that marketer with a service that’s beneficial to his business. The beauty of the internet is that you can do all of this online over email or through instant messaging, so the person you trade with can be literally anywhere in the world.

Creating your own landing page with a contact capture form is also a great idea. Ask for the names and email addresses of every visitor to your site, then send this information to your auto responder for storage. Of course, you’ll have to offer something in exchange, since no one is going to give you their contact information just because you asked nicely. You could give extraordinary information on your website that the visitor has to “register” to see. You could also give away an ebook or report that requires contact information for you to send it.

One method of online lead generation for network marketers you should absolutely avoid is buying leads. Leads that you purchase are often of very poor quality, and usually out of date. It may sound great to be able to buy hundreds of thousands of names for just a few dollars, but it’s really not worth it in the end. You’ll just end up wasting your time and your money on worthless leads.

When you purchase a lead list, whether it is recommended by your upline or you are desperate for names and numbers, you need to be aware of the drawbacks to using lead lists. One is that the leads are usually sold to other marketers so you will be competing with them from the start. To get exclusive leads you will have to pay a high premium price and my experience has been they are not worth it.

The Internet has made it possible for anyone to achieve network marketing success. It’s not like the old days when you had to go approach strangers in public and try to sell to your family and friends. Today, you can find interested, qualified prospects throughout the world. Using the top methods of online lead generation for network marketers, you can be very successful, even more than you ever dreamed was possible.

Internet Marketing Is A Littered Field

October 24th, 2008 · No Comments

by Tim May

Why is internet marketing in particular is a field littered with charlatans and scam artists? Because it’s anonymous. Anyone with an internet connection can get online. For most people, the fear of being caught keeps them honest. Get them online, where no one \”knows your name\”, and they feel free to release that inner demon.

For instance, a polite, well-mannered man that would return money to an old lady if she dropped it on the street would not hesitate to steal all her money online with a simple fraudulent web page. It is common for the scammers to somehow find fault in the scammee’s stupidity as a fallback to keep from getting in trouble.

Also, fraudulent artists prowl on the internet because of the relative ease. It’s not very hard to think of something to trick people into believing you. In fact, it has been noted that even the most obvious email scams, a person wouldn’t even be required to know English very well. It takes subtle things that look official, such as verifiable email address, to effectively trick people into giving money.

A lot of scams use a simple editing technique of copying and pasting. The scammer will receive a real email from a legitimate company, copy it, change some codes and use some tricks, and then send it to many people. Since it looks real, people will respond and the scammer will get what he wants.

The final thing that makes internet marketing useful is because it is very cheap. There are many sites where you can obtain a free email address and won’t ask to identify yourself. Also, it doesn’t cost much to simply be your own webmaster. Using the same process as above, one can replicate a legitimate website.

In real marketing, the sellers have to do a cost-benefit analysis to determine if the costs of a mailing or advertising scheme will bring in enough business to be worth the expense. Scammers don’t have this problem, because no matter how many emails you send, they are all free. In fact, cheap programs exist that will even send the emails for you, so you don’t even have to invest time in your scam!

So many emails can be sent, in fact, that even if only 1 percent of the recipients respond the scammer has still made out well! This technique has been used to such an extent that legitimate companies rarely use email blitzes anymore, because most people who receive these kinds of emails just assume they are scams!

In conclusion, charlatans and scam artists litter the internet with marketing scams more densely than other media because internet scams are easy, cheap, and require little (or no) training or special knowledge. All you need is an internet connection and time. You can also learn more on how to protect yourself from internet marketing scams by visiting Badguruscams.com

Why start your own business at home?

October 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

by Steve Mitchell

Clearly, getting your own business from home up ‘n running can reap huge rewards, satisfaction and benefits, but why should you consider starting your own business working from home? Well just consider your other options? …working from an office, or factory? Working from your car with many hours on the road? It’s only when you consider the other ‘ways to work’ that working from home with your own business seems so attractive.

Let’s look more closely at comparing working from home to your other options

COST SAVINGS - Running your business from an office or any other commercial location involves cost - often big cost when you add up rent or possible commercial mortgage payments, rates, electricity and other utility costs, communication costs - phone, fax, internet - all these costs are often much higher when you are working remotely from a commercial property.

Working from home you can cut much of these costs down dramatically because you will likely be paying residential tariffs for all these outgoings, which invariably work out much cheaper than commercial tariffs.

Also, don’t forget you can actually charge yourself ‘rent’ and a percentage of utility costs for using part of your home as a working environment - ‘home office’. What that means is a percentage of what you pay in your mortgage can be offset against any business tax you pay because you can claim a certain amount as rent, etc, even though you’re working from home. Ask your financial advisor to get more info on this.

MORE EFFECTIVE USE OF TIME - How much time do you (or would you spend) travelling to work? Apart from perhaps the odd phone call on your mobile, or sending a text or two, it’s hard to be effective with your time travelling to work, especially if you drive to your workplace.

I key benefit of working from home is you can get up later (making it more lifestyle orientated), and yet still start earlier. Why? simply because you will have cut out all the ‘dead time’ travelling to and from work. You could be working from home, more refreshed, more effective, and certainly more productive.

QUALITY OF LIFE - One of the challenges of working in these fast-moving times is how much our quality of life, particularly family life suffers. How much time do you spend now away from home because of your work when, if you were working from home, even taking a tea-break means you get to see your partner and possibly your children more.

My father loved me and my sisters deeply, but had a high-powered city job, and so left in the morning to catch a train before we were awake, and invariably didn’t get in ’til after we were asleep, often unfortunately not seeing us awake for days on end! Now that wasn’t really his fault because his ‘job’ demanded he work a long-distance away, but if you had the choice to start your own business working from home, allowing you to spend much more time with those you love, doesn’t that make far more sense?

7 Things To Consider Starting Your Own Business From Home

October 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

by Steve Mitchell

So you think starting your own business working from home is a great idea, yes? But why? What exactly is so great about starting your own business and spending time working from home?

Here are 7 reasons why you should consider starting your own business from home…

1. Less time travelling to and from work. How much time do you think you will spend getting to and from your spare bedroom that now acts as your ‘office’ - a lot less than the time you used to spend sat in the car, hearing the same records on the same radio station, whilst the traffic you’re stuck in doesn’t move.

It may seem I’m making a silly point, but it is in fact a very key benefit to working from home because of the amount of ‘travel time’ you save, allowing you to either start work quicker, or see more of your family, or simply just to spend more time in bed!

2. You can save money. By the fact that a part of your home’s mortgage or rent can be offset as ‘office rent’ means you can actually save money working from home. Plus there are many other savings like the electricity, phone bills, car fuel costs, etc all of which you can use part of what you pay on your home bills to offset your tax bill.

3. More family time - this is a key one. When you consider that in the world there is never enough hours in the day, and spending quality time with those we love can often drop down the priority list, even when we know they should be amongst our most important priorities. Having the ability to work from home means even taking a silly thing like a coffee break means you can have a 15 minutes catching up with your partner or playing with the children, times you and they will value.

4. Time control. You are in control of your own time - you work when it suits you; at the times that best suits you. If your daughter has a swimming gala, you can take the afternoon off and be one of the few parents that could make it to support your little girl. You can then choose, if you wish, to make up any lost hours of work by working in the evening. It’s really only working from home that offers you this type of flexibility.

5. Share the business. By working from home, you may choose to share the business you’re your partner, and have many of the additional benefits of working together, sharing ideas, achieving things as a partnership - in both business as well as social. Now you and your partner may not feel working together is a good idea, which I respect, but it’s the ability that working from home offers which allows you to choose.

6. Create the working environment that suits you. Put around you the environment that you would most enjoy working in. I love music so whilst I’m working from home I like to play music and not just the work’s radio channel - whatever ever CD I want; I only have to please me. I also enjoy time with my dog, so he spends most of the time curled up at my feet in my home-office (when he’s not looking at me longingly for a walk!). The key point I’m making here is it’s you that creates around you the working environment you enjoy working in.

7. Finally …it’s fun! I really enjoy working from home and most folks I coach and help increase their incomes working from home, would say the same and agree - working from home is so much more relaxing and less stressful.

When you pull together all these 7 great reasons for starting your own business from home, it’s easy to see why it makes so much sense.
